Introducing Trackside Visuals: A New Chapter in Our Photography & Videography Journey

I’m thrilled to introduce Trackside Visuals, a brand-new offshoot brand from Stage Two Imaging.

Capturing the heart-pounding excitement of motorsport, the story behind this new venture is one of passion, opportunity, and personal growth—fueled by my lifelong love of cars and motorsport.

Motorsport has always been a huge part of my life. From my earliest memories around 5 years of age, standing at the side of a Scottish forest road watching rally cars hurl past, to more recently competing at Motorsport UK sanctioned Sprint events, the thrill of high-speed racing and the technical aspect behind it has always captivated me. However, I had never seriously considered taking my photography and video business into the motorsport world, fearing that turning a personal passion into a professional pursuit might dilute the excitement I’ve always felt for the sport.

That changed in 2023 when I had the incredible opportunity to provide video and social media coverage for BTCC driver Nick Halstead at the Knockhill round of the British Touring Car Championship. The experience was nothing short of eye-opening.

Not only did I get to immerse myself in the fast-paced world of motorsport, but I also realised that my skills in visual storytelling and documenting could actually be a new business avenue to explore, hopefully without losing the personal connection I’ve always had with motorsport.

It was a weekend of having all sort of possibilities thrown my way, from Nick not making it out on track for Free Practice due to a gearbox issue to ever changing weather conditions, including a sudden and massive downpour on the grid for Race 3 on the Sunday.

It was fast paced, challenging and having to adapt to ever changing scenarios but I knew that this was an area I could work in which I knew most about.

In 2024, I took the plunge and spent the year attending high-profile motorsport events across the UK in order to build a portfolio and create connections. This included more rounds of the British Touring Car Championship.

One particularly exciting highlight was working alongside Restart Racing at the Croft round of the BTCC, where I provided social media coverage for the team, with a particular focus on BTCC race winner and 2022 TCR UK Champion driver, Chris Smiley. This experience cemented my belief that motorsport content creation is where I can truly thrive—blending my technical knowledge with my passion for the sport in a way that feels natural and exhilarating.

Thus, Trackside Visuals was born. This new arm of my business will specialise in creating high-energy content that brings fans closer to the action—whether it’s capturing the intensity of race day, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses of teams in action, or telling the personal stories that make motorsport so special. My aim is to deliver visually stunning, timeless and authentic content that both motorsport fans and participants will appreciate.

As we look ahead to 2025 and beyond, Trackside Visuals is eager to collaborate with teams, drivers, and motorsport marketing agencies looking for high-quality video and social media content. If you're seeking a fresh, dynamic approach to showcasing your racing team, driver profile, or event highlights, I’d love to work with you to bring your vision to life.

Thank you for following along on this new journey. I’m excited for what lies ahead and can’t wait to share more of the Trackside Visuals experience with all of you.
