Supporting Local Businesses - Mini Series - Grierson and Graham

Continuing the current mini series showcasing some of the work we have produced for businesses in Dumfries & Galloway, this week it’s Grierson & Graham.

One of the oldest businesses in Dumfries and a well known, established name in the area. We have worked with Grierson & Graham going back a few years, initially helping to photograph stock vehicles for advertisement on their website. More recently however have been the videos below.

In late 2017/ early 2018 the company embarked on the next chapter in their history by building a brand new, state of the art showroom and service facility at their Annan Road location. After hearing the news of the proposed plan, I pitched the idea of documenting the build through a long term timelapse video.

The idea was very well received and soon after I pieced together a working camera system that would be able to continue capturing each frame of the whole build process. The idea also involved strategically placing GoPro cameras to capture other angles through the 6 month timeframe.

Finally, I was able to gain access upon completion of the building, prior to its grand opening to photograph the interior and also draft in help from aerial specialist Digital Services Pro for those stunning aerial shots.

More recently we once again approached Grierson & Graham with an idea for a video to go out on their social media channels. Once the UK lockdown restrictions began to ease due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I spotted a potential opportunity for businesses to inform their customers and clients of the measures they have in place to protect them and the company’s staff.

Dealer Principal David Graham agreed this would be very useful and informative given that they were looking to reopen the sales side of the business after successful operation of the service department.

A simple, informative video could prove to be very handy in easing your customer’s minds by explaining the protective measures you have in place. It could just be what your business needs to get customers through the door again after a difficult and challenging period.
