Make your Business stand out with Professional Photography
Here at Stage Two Imaging I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some excellent local businesses who have hired me for my commercial photography services.
But why invest in professional photography in the first place? Here’s 5 reasons why.
1. Show off your business to the world!
If you’re proud of your business then you will want to present that to prospective clients in the best way possible. Hiring a professional photographer means you can receive high quality images of your business offering to give potential customers a feeling for who you are and what you do. Professionally shot images can be used in multiple locations, whether that is print advertising or online; having those high quality images can give yourself and your business the boost of confidence that it deserves to show it off to the world. The images give you a far more professional and credible look to potential new customers.
2. Your products deserve it.
If you sell products it is vital to have images of your products professionally photographed, this doesn’t have to be anything fancy, although a professional photographer can ensure the products are lit and presented correctly as well as ensuring the images are clean and artefact free. We may be able to get multiple angles of your products or show them in use.
Professional product photos give you more credibility and put you on an equal footing with larger competitors and bigger brands. You are more likely to make those sales as customers can make a better buying decision to go with your product - especially if you have a unique feature or selling point.
3. Customers can get to know you better.
Product photos aren’t the only way to show what you do. Profile photos or environmental portraits are a great way of presenting yourself to potential customers. The old saying goes that people buy from people so having a few photographs of yourself and your team are great for letting customers know who you are and give a more personal feel to your brand. This was the approach Dumfries business 8020 Ltd wanted when looking for refreshing new images for their website. They wanted existing and new customers to understand that each team member was friendly and approachable yet professional in their role.
Individual portraits of your team members are also great for refreshing their LinkedIn profiles and giving them a professional finish.
4. Welcome customers to your business.
If you have a business which prides itself in offering a welcoming environment for your customers, professional photographs of that space go a long way to helping potential customers visualise themselves there and are more likely to decide if your establishment is the place to go.
Restaurants, cafe’s and holiday accommodation providers are all prime examples of where professional images are vital to sell to your customers an experience.
Take the example below, we recently worked with Barend Holiday Lodges to refresh some of the images they had on their website. Images were mostly taken on a phone and unfortunately didn’t give a great sense of the spaces available in the lodges nor did the images have a warm and homely feeling which the client wanted to achieve. Some lodges had undergone some refurbishments so high quality imagery was vital to show this off.
5. Use images across many platforms.
Not only do the images have their primary home of being used on your website, having a library of images provided by your photographer can be useful for sharing on social media, giving a better visual appeal in those areas too. Ask your photographer to provide a variety of images so they can be rotated on social media as well as keeping your website looking fresh. Use the images to give more attention to your posts on Facebook and perhaps schedule these for topics you would like to talk about.
So that’s 5 useful reasons as to why you should invest in professional imagery for your business, not only for your website but for print and online marketing, help your business either stand out from your competitors or reach closer to those businesses you look up to.
